Why this film is so important
Every school aged child in the United States learns about the "shot heard 'round the world" and the American Revolution, but how many have seen the faces of the men and women who lived it?
Maureen Taylor, The Photo Detective, spent ten years uncovering and authenticating over 200 photos of the Revolutionary War generation, and the stories behind them. Many of these have appeared in the two volumes of her “Last Muster” books published by Kent State University Press.
Now, this amazing project will be a film! Maureen's production partner is award-winning Verissima Productions, who specialize in bringing historical subjects to life for today's audiences.
Together they'll be revealing the stories behind the photographs, interviewing descendants and taking viewers into how the everyday lives of these Revolutionary War era people lived.
